Short Biography
Boniface Kayode Alese, PhD; is a Professor of Information and Cyber Security in the Department of Cyber Security, The Federal University of Technology, Akure, Nigeria. He holds PhD degree in Computer Science with specialisation in Information and Cyber Security from The Federal University of Technology, Akure, in 2004. He joined the services of The Federal University of Technology, Akure as a Graduate Assistant in 1998 and rose to become a Full Professor in 2014. His major area of expertise is Cyber Security Engineering and Cyber Security Risk Management. He is a registered Information Technology practitioner. He is also a member of Nigeria Computer Society (NCS), Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (IEEE), Computer Society, Association for Computing Machinery (ACM). Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), Information Systems Security Association (ISSA) and Cyber Security Experts Association of Nigeria (CSEAN) among many others.
He is a Fellow of America Centre of Artificial Intelligence. He was the Chair occupant of The First Bank of Nigeria endowment in Computer Science between 2012 and 2016. He was instrumental to the effective take off of Cyber Security as a course of study in Nigeria. He has served in various capacities within the University such as Ag. Head of Department of Computer Science, FUTA; Dean, Students’ Affairs, Chairman of Various Committees among many others. He was Visiting Professor to University of Mines and Technology, Tarkwa, Ghana. He is the current Dean of the School of Computing and the current Chairman, Committee of Deans, The Federal University of Technology, Akure, Nigeria. He is the strategic Advisor, Cyber Diplomat, United States of America, He is a member, Governing Council of the Federal University of Technology, Akure.
He has published over 300 articles in reputable journals and referred conference proceedings. He has successfully supervised 42 PhD students to graduation as a major supervisor both within and outside Nigeria while he has also successfully co-supervised another 38 PhD students to graduation. He was involved in the development of National Cyber Security Policy for Nigeria under the office of the NSA in year 2020. He has successfully mentored over 20 entrepreneurs and innovators in the field of Information Technology. He is widely travelled to many countries across different continents for training, workshops and conferences. Professor Alese is happily married with children.
Short Biography
Prof Mammo Muchie holds a DPhil in Science, Technology & Innovation for Development from the University of Sussex (UK), along with an MPhil (with distinction), and an undergraduate degree from Columbia University (NY, USA). He serves as the DST‑NRF SARChI Research Chair in Innovation Studies at TUT’s Faculty of Engineering & the Built Environment, Tshwane University of Technology Pretoria, South Africa and is a C‑rated NRF‑recognized research professor.
He is a Fellow of following prestigious institutions: South African Academy of Sciences, African Academy of Sciences, and African Science Institute. Regionally and globally, he is affiliated with the following institutions:
He is the Chief Editor of the African Journal on Science, Technology, Innovation and Development (est. 2009), now published by Routledge/Taylor & Francis Scopus Indexed), Founding figure of African Globelics Doctoral Academy and AfricaLics networks; He contributes to pan-African initiatives: African Talent Hub, African Solar Network, and Network of Ethiopian Scholars.
He has published widely with any awards and recognition at the local and international levels.
Short Biography
Prof. Grace Kanakana-Katumba currently serves as the Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Teaching, Learning, and Student Affairs at the Vaal University of Technology, South Africa. She previously held prominent leadership roles, including Executive Dean of the College of Engineering and the Built Environment at the Tshwane University of Technology, and Deputy Executive Dean of the College of Science, Engineering and Technology at the University of South Africa (UNISA).
Her research interests lie in the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in design and manufacturing, with a focus on smart and sustainable industrial systems. Prof. Kanakana-Katumba is a former recipient of the Royal Academy of Engineering (RAEng) Award in the field of Smart Manufacturing and has a strong track record of academic excellence with over 50 publications in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings.
She has successfully supervised 10 Master’s and PhD candidates to completion and has played an active role in the broader academic community by co-organizing several seminars and international conferences. She has also delivered numerous invited and plenary lectures at leading academic forums, reinforcing her reputation as a thought leader in engineering education and research.
Short Biography
Prof. Rajesh S. Ransing is an Associate Professor at Swansea University, in the UK. His research interests include application of artificial intelligence in design and manufacturing. Dr Ransing is a past RAEng Industry Fellow and is a Fellow of the Institute of Cast Metals Engineers in UK. He has 1 patent, 48 journals and 74 conference papers in his name and has supervised 15 PhDs/EngD’s. He has co-organized 13 seminars/conferences, given 10 invited lectures at leading conferences/meetings and one plenary lecture. He has worked extensively with industry and has attracted 15 research projects from ESPRC, Innovate UK and Welsh Government and Industry. He also has experience of commercializing research software.

Engr. Innocent Nwokolo is a distinguished Engineering Leader and AI Researcher specializing in the convergence of Telecommunications infrastructure and Intelligent Systems. A proud alumnus of Bells University of Technology (B.Eng.) and Covenant University (M.Eng.), he is a COREN-registered engineer with over 20 specialized certifications from IBM, Google, and Vanderbilt University in Generative AI, MLOps, and Deep Learning.
Beyond his corporate role, Innocent serves as the Volunteer Lead Facilitator for AI & Machine Learning at Bells University of Technology. In this capacity, he mentors the next generation of engineers, bridging the gap between theoretical academic research and real-world AI implementation. His presence at ICISRAI 2026 represents a synergy of industrial leadership and academic dedication to the future of Responsible AI within the technological landscape.
